"I
create large handmade, unique photograms. Like a fingerprint, I use the
skins of humans and animals
as lithography plates, transforming their own images. Similar to
antique techniques as "gyotaku" in
Enoshima, the pressure of my models on the photography paper transfers
its own image, size,
silhouette and texture, as scars of real life. Outside the form, the
imprints remain suspended on a solid
black background creating unrecognizable individuals. Still inside, the
epidermis reality hides
the identity stronger than a photo can give, a digital imprint of the
soul, as unique as DNA."
