So I've been trying to play with a friend of mine, but everytime I press play the background just darkens a little and nothing happens aside from that. It says we're ingame in the group interface, but nothing seems to be happening.
I'm lvl 5 and my friend is lvl 2, maybe that's the problem?

you might be playing at odd times where there aren't very many people online. Then again IDK how it works for the tiers and how they interact when there is a multi tier group. I would assume it would put you up to the 5-9 bracket.

It is of my understanding that the lvl brackets for parties are chosen according to the lowest level, in this case 5th lvl should be maximum
