Post " PnzAssert : nValueType == REG_DWORD PnzRegKey.cpp (166) "
Hi !
Everytime I'm trying to launch the game it fails and I encounter this error :" PnzAssert : nValueType == REG_DWORD PnzRegKey.cpp (166) "

Is there any solutions to fix it ? I've already tryed to re-install the game and others solutions like moving the "panzaz" file from c:/PAnzar to c:/game/panzar and it keeps bugging.

Hey there Daemosx!

I'm sorry to hear about that, unusual error there. First thing to do is to start the launcher with administrator rights, and also install the whole game with admin rights and default settings all together. I assume you have already tried this though, so could you give exact description what have you already tried to do with this issue?

First I tried to launch the game with administrator's rights. Then I tried to do the same but with the 'start.exe" file and not the shorcut.
Then I moved my "Panzar" file from c:/games/panzaz to c:/panzar. I did the same manipulations. Then I created a document named "Game" and moved my "Panzar" file into it. ( someone on the French forum fixed the problem with this solution )
After this I did a re-installation directly in C:/ and finally I repeated what I've tried before the re-installation. And it's still bugging....

Hey again Daemosx!

Alright. I think your problem could be solved by following these steps:

1. Uninstall the game and reboot the PC.
2. Open regedit (press windows button + r and type regedit and after that press ok. User Account Control should pop up, press ok.)
3. Find and delete the next folders:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Panzar Studio
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Panzar Studio
4. Reboot, and install the game again. Remember to install it properly with admin rights.

I hope this helps!

Oko thanks Sarge ( Is that a reference to Quake or it's only about the military grade ? )
I will try this later.

Hahaha, your the first one who asks actually :) Originally my friends gave me the nickname Sarge (they somehow connected my looks to Quakes "Sarge", which IMO requires some wild imagination, since I dont smoke cigars ;) ), which i selfishly modified to match my first and last name :D
So that's the story behind it :lol:

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... It does'nt work....
I think I'll just give up about trying to play Panzar on this PC. There are some programs that just CAN"T work on my PC. Whatever I try.

Hey again Daemosx!

Sad to hear your problem wasn't solved by that :( If you still got the energy for trying to figure this out, you could do the following;

The problem is somewhat related to registry keys, and we should try to fix the problem there. I know it is a time consuming process, but what might help is to fully uninstall the game, reboot the PC and after that scan the whole system with some registry cleaning program, and fix the errors that way. You should run the cleaning program few times, untill it shows no errors at all. After the system is clean for sure, install the game with admin rights.

I'll try this, someday. Sigh... Well I guess I'll find the time to do it when I'll be bored ^^.
